I think I've figured out what was missing as an artist; an awesome story to draw! My never ending search for inspiration happened to come across a Patreon article. All these artists are getting paid by fans to do what they love. This is the best thing I've heard since I discovered I could root my Android phone.
A light bulb instantly lit up in my brain, and in my head was the image of a character I drew years ago. I knew I could make a comic about her, and so the story started forming in my head. My creative juices started to flow, and I started drawing again because I knew that I couldn't draw this comic without practice.

Wow, my last journal entry was April 2006. That's over 7 years ago! How could I say I like drawing when I don't do it?
Well it took long enough. I think I hit a wall there for a bit and wasn't inspired. I started watching some youtube videos of concept art paintings and digital art tutorials. I upgraded my Wacom Intuos 4 to a Cintiq 13HD and bought a Samsung 700T w/ Wacom digitizer to satisfy my tech urges. Obviously excited with the new gadgets, it still took a couple months to get in the flow of things. I wasn't used to drawing; it wasn't what I did anymore.

Well I just finished my three month internship at Warner Bros. I worked in the consumer products division where graphics are created for toys, clothes, packages, etc. Very very fun and educational, I learned a lot. I haven't been around here at all for quite some time so I hope to be back more often to upload deviations.
